"I never met a man I didn't like!"  Will Rogers

This quote bothered me for years - It simply seemed impossible, even for a good-natured guy like Will Rogers.  My office in Fort Worth was across the street from the Will Rogers Colliseum and his popularity pushed me to study him a bit.  But it wasn't untill years later when Jane and I took my folks to NY City and we attended a play The Will Rogers Follies' and they made a point of explaining that Will was part American Indian and those traditions influenced his approach to people.  He believed that we should always take a minute, after meeting a person, to turn around and face the direction they are facing, to see the world as they are seeing it, before we return to our own direction.

By deliberately gaining the perspective of the other person, it would be difficult to not 'like' that person, in spite of any differences.

Good story.......Good advice........Always consider different perspectives......
